Recipient of the 2000 National Book Foundation Medal for Distinguished
Contribution to American Letters, the 2004 National Medal of Arts, and
the 2007 Pulitzer Prize Special Citation - Raymond (Ray) Douglas Bradbury died on June 5, 2012, at the
age of 91 after a long illness - how pity! Not his death but the reason of his death. It comes out that after his wife's death in 2003 he was left alone with 4 daughters.

John Fante - Ask The Dust
Recently I have finished Ask The Dust by John Fante. Yes, the very book that Bradley Cooper is reading on the bench in Central Park in the movie of The Words. The book differs from the movie. Movie is much more optimistic than the book but I like both. If you want to know about Charles Bukowski`s God - John Fante, the you must read it. It is somehow autobiographical as well and gives you wide view of Fante`s life in Los Angeles.
John və Vurğunun "Ask The Dust"ları.
Dilimizə tərcümə olunana qədər bu kitab və yazarı haqqında nə eşitmişdim, nə
də oxumuşdum. Tərcüməçinin də tanış olması məndə kitaba maraq oyatdı desəm,
yanılmaram. Marquez`in dilimizə tərcümə olunmuş "Yüz İllik Tənhalıq"
əsərini iki il əvvəldən necə yarım qoymuşamsa, hələ də üzünü aça bilmirəm. Və
"Tozdan soruş" ilə ana dilimizdə yenidən oxumaq tilsimini
sındıracaqdım. Bəli, bəli, Bradley Cooperin The Words filmində Central Park`da skamyada oxuduğu kitab!!! Bəli, bəli, Dj Dodger Stadium' un bu il çıxardığı Friend of Mine albomunun ilham mənbəyi olan kitab!!! Bir daha bəli, "Arturo Bandini Sagası"na daxil olan və 1939-cu ildə nəşr edilən John Fantenin avtobioqrafik əsəri!!!

Paulo Coelho`s "Manuscript found in Accra"
Manuscript full of an old woman's advices to the people around on every thing that insterests humans around, i.e. love, hatred, dishonesty, fate, power, reign, etc. Paulo helps people to understand some proper things in his easy way. It is good, isn't it?
The Grass Harp in the Wood.
Several days ago we had religious Ramadan Holiday and due to several day-offs I had a picnic in the countryside with my family. My new book The Grass Harp by Truman Capote was on me, not accidentally of course. I bought it after finishing Breakfast at Tiffany's and liked it very much. Book tells the story of some adults and a teen living together, and struggling against difficulties. I started reading the book lying on the grass, yes, it was some kind of coincidence - to read The Grass Harp on the Grass under the Trees.

Lovely Ear Cuffs
My Breakfast at Tiffany`s.
Breakfast at Tiffany's is the book in which I realized the main character of the story being girl only at the almost end of the book. You know why?! `Cause I was reading the turkish translation and in the Turkish Language there is no gender case, so it was unknown for me till the end that it was not HE but she. p.s. how stupid of me!
Stendhal`s The Red and The Black
Recently I have read a book dealing with the irritating love. If you would think of how a book can be about such love, but believe me, I do not exaggerate. Stendhal wrote his "The Red and The Black" about such a guy - Julien Sorel who tries everything just to reach his aim, even pretend loving. Maybe he loved, but it was not sincere and I just could not believe it. Through the book he uses all the people like horses just to get to the next destination and dies at the end.
Here are some covers of The Red and The Black.

Queen Soraya and Shah Reza of Persia
These days I am reading the book named Historical Leaders and their Loves. There are a lot of interesting storied about the well-known persons and their both evident and secrets love affairs. There are a lot of sacrifices that were given for the State's sake and one of them is Persian Shah Reza and Queen Soraya Esfandiary-Bakhtiari's marrage.
Soraya was not the first wife of Shah's and neither the last. As she could not have a child and the throne needed a male line generation, she was obliged to divorce from Shah. Soraya was europe-educationed woman and continued her life in France, even was shot in several movies like The Three Faces and She.
I would like to show you her wedding dress that was by Christian Dior. This dress was so long and heavy that, being sick she was not able to carry it till the end of the wedding ceremony and Shah ordered to the servants to cut 10 meters from the dress. This cut was not noticed by anyone :)

History of Elie Saab
As a fan of Elie Saab some days ago after the couture`s fall-winter 14-15 collection, I was thinking about his history, how come he so famous?! And decided to make a little search.
Elie was born in July 04, 1961 in Beirut, Lebanon and was the eldest son of 5 children in the wood merchant family. He is a self-trained and in 8 his attention was focused in fashion as he began sewing when he was already a child.

Leo`s, poor him :(

Now look how the original is :)
The last one is really '' wohooaaa"
The Oscars' Leo
No, I won't tell you how it is pity that Leo did not get the Oscar. Not because it is not awfull, but because it has been and is being repeated by the millions, so no need to repeat. I agree with all of the words that were said due to this event.
When coming across with that amount of troll pics in different languages about Leo during the Oscars that I decided to sum up those that I got. Here we go :)
